Treasurer-Elect: Suzanne Reinke
Personal Statement
I started my career in Research Administration working in a department, then in March of 2015 I moved to the central office. Soon after that I became a member of NCURA and attended my first NCURA conference. That first conference was when I learned how valuable it was to be a member of NCURA. Being surrounded by my peers helped me understand this field and to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in Research Administration. Later I made the decision to be a mentee in the Region IV MOO program. During my participation in the MOO program, I had a mentor who encouraged me to become more successful and expand my career. I was also encouraged to expand my experience in Region IV. During the MOO program I presented a poster session at the Region IV annual meeting. I have had the privilege to serve as co-chair of the Region IV membership committee for three years. The experience of chairing the committee has taught me how important it is to have our membership engaged in the region and find new programs to help ensure there are opportunities to learn and network with our peers. Serving as the current Region IV Treasurer I have learned what a privilege it is to volunteer for this Region. I would like to continue to serve and learn from the members. Thank you for your consideration.
