Jim Maus is a departmental research administrator at Washington University in St. Louis. He has spent his entire career at Washington University, starting in the Sponsored Projects Accounting office in 1985. Since then, Jim has worked in the Washington University School of Medicine’s pre-award office, clinical and basic science departments, and a large research institute. He currently provides administrative support for a large research lab in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Shriners Hospital for Children – St. Louis.

Jim has been an NCURA member since 1990. He has served Region IV in a number of capacities, including as presenter, moderator, round-table facilitator, evaluator, hospitality suite coordinator, MOO program mentor, and member and chair of various committees. He previously served on the Region IV Board of Directors as Member-at-Large and as Chair. In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, fishing, and attempting to play bluegrass banjo and mandolin.
